Interior refurbishment to upgrade existing bedsit area. The client lived with her parents but wanted a new fresh decor as she spent a lot of time in her own room within the house that had effectively become like a bedsit come living area as well since that is where she entertained friends. The brief was to make everything more compact, accessible and to produce a space that was flexible for all the different activities that took place within it. This was acheived by designing furniture, also on wheels, that could be rottated to make best use and the client was able to move them around the room and change layout when desired. Different lighting moods were also included with a simple decor to enhance this and the introduction of graphics across the built in mirror wardrobe gave the impression that the height of the room had been reduced more to the client’s level. The graphic display was carried through to the new washroom area and manifest in backlit transulcent recycled plastic panels and a fake shower curtain.
