Project: Nexus Night Cafe

Fair trade Night Cafe in the Basement of a church Building in Manchester City Centre's Northern Quarter providing a safe, warm place to chill out between clubs, or at the end of the night. The main aim of the project was to improve the side entrance and make it more welcoming and inviting for visitors and passing trade. The design incorporates a simple reordering of the entrance at street level in keeping with the original stone facade of the building . The ticket booth and old stairwell uncovered during investigations are being converted into a shopfront space that will exhibit temporary art installations.
