Project: Pavarotti Music Centre

Refurbishment and extension of a listed building in Mostar, Bosnia to provide a new music school for the area. The school incoroporated a recording studio, a music therapy room, performance spaces and accommodation for visiting artists. The client, Warchild, was an NGO witha number of celebrity patron that were involved in funding the construction and supporting th development of the project. Patrons apart from Pavarotti, included David Bowie, Brian Eno, Bono and Tom Stoppard.

The project was overseen by a team of consultants from the UK with local architects, engineers and contractors undertaking the construction at a local level with a representative living insitu to assist with communications and speed up he process when information was required. This role was supported by bi-weekly and/or monthly visits from the UK design team.
